As impossible as it seems, Lightroom runs better on my 2012 15" MBP(with 16gb RAM) on the whole than it does on my M1.īTW, I have the CC helper that keeps LR and PS up to date with the latest stable versions. Has anyone else seen anything like this? Most of the reports claim that 8gb is fine even for photo editing, but I'm just not seeing it. It's all memory related I know, and I see memory pressure spiking to 90% in some of the worst of these instances with a "baseline" of about 60% with only LR open and just doing light editing. Lightroom isn't very snappy in rendering images as I'm browsing. Even LR open in the background will make Firefox bog down. ![]() NEFs, the system is unuseable for anything else. When I'm doing an import/DNG batch process from my D800 or D810. In any case, I've been running into issues with my 8gb/512gb MBP basically grinding to a halt with Lightroom. I'm regretting it and and I'm waiting to splurge on a maxed out 16" M2 or whatever. ![]() I know, I know, I know, I should have bought the 16gb. ![]()
